Entrepeneurship
The 5 Unshakable Traits of Elite Entrepreneurs
What differentiates you from everybody else? Why should people choose you and your business over the competitors? These are questions you should be asking yourself on a consistent basis. In this challenging new economy you need every advantage you can get, especially in entrepreneurship and business. Everything has changed! Many A and B students are working for the companies C and D students own. Are you adapting to the evolving and fast paced economy? How our parents succeeded doesn’t work anymore, and if you want to thrive in the coming years you must adapt quickly. There are 5 traits I want to share with you, because these are the traits all great entrepreneurs and visionaries have. Whether you just became an entrepreneur, you’re thinking about becoming one, or you’ve been one for years, these can dramatically improve your success immediately. Take them serious, better yet, put them into action right away.
Dreams
The big mistake someone can make is buying into other people’s dreams they have for you vs. your own. Just because most of society has given up on their dreams, doesn’t mean you have to. Dreams can be powerful enough to pull you through any challenge, and keep you focused through the toughest of times. Under no circumstance should you ever let a doubter delay your dream. Ever. Is your dream and vision clearly defined, and broken down into actionable steps? You’re either building your dreams daily, or somebody else is using you to build theirs. Choose wisely.
Action Steps: Write down your dreams, and define what you want. Then make small progress daily.
Sacrifice
To get to the next level you must give up something and sacrifice. Whatever your ambitions are, you must get out of your own way. Once your mission and vision fulling matches your daily activities you will start feeling alive, but you must expect more from yourself than anybody else expects of you. Most people want, want, want and talk, talk, talk, but they forget they must figure out what they are willing to give up to get what they want. Once you define the price you’re willing to pay then you can start creating real progress towards your goals. Being an entrepreneur isn’t easy, and if you ask any successful entrepreneur they will tell you it takes lot’s of sacrifice, however the lifestyle you can build makes it all worth it.
Action Steps: What is it you want to do? What sacrifices have to be made to get there?
100% Confidence
I bet you can’t name a visionary or exceptional leader who lacked confidence. Where does confidence come from? It comes from self esteem, and that comes from doing the things you know you should do when you know you should do them whether you feel like it or not. If you don’t have confidence you will always find a way to lose. Everything you accomplish is based on the confidence you have in yourself and your ability to surround yourself with exceptional people. The bigger the goals, the bigger the challenges. You must realize the moment you go after biggest goals obstacles will show up. They are there to test your character and faith, and to see if you are serious about your goals. Think about this…. If there were no challenges, it was easy, and it didn’t take much work everybody would be doing it. It also wouldn’t be worth much. The reality you need to grasp is the person with the most confidence always wins. These days the only security you have is the confidence in yourself and your ability to make things happen.
Action Steps: Get uncomfortable on a daily basis. If the old you wouldn’t do it, the new you will.
Today Matters
Tomorrow is an average person’s favorite word. There is NO tomorrow for champions. In a conversation I had with Motivational speaker and Entrepreneur, Eric Thomas, he stated his #1 focus was to seize each day. If you take care of today tomorrow takes care of itself. It’s actually a simple philosophy: Either you run your day or your day runs you. Successful people take control of their agenda and stay intentional in all that they do. The #1 reason most aren’t achieving the success they’re capable of is they’ve never told themselves NOW matters. Want to start thriving? Make the most of today, then tomorrow, then the next day. Most people spend the first half of their life saying they’re too young, and the second half saying they’re too old. Don’t fall into the same trap.
Action Steps: Create your MVPs (Most Valuable Priorities) for the day. Do the hardest first and SEIZE EACH DAY.
Standards Vs. Emotions
I don’t think there is anything that will make a bigger difference in your attitude, energy, consistency, and bank account than this one. My good friend Hal Elrod says “Those who do what they feel like don’t do very much,” and that will ALWAYS be the case. I strongly challenge you to start basing your decisions off your principles and standards rather than your current emotions. I was lucky enough to learn the importance of emotional IQ at an early age and I’ve realized most decisions made off pure emotion are usually the wrong decisions. All great achievers, and those living a world class lives use logic and intelligence in every decision they make. I assure you that you’ll see your influence, income, and results skyrocket when you do the same.
Action Steps: Make sure you make you’re making decisions based off your principles and standards, not your current emotions.
In closing let me share this; Never let anyone tell you that you can’t do something, PERIOD! Stay focused on what you want, but make sure the price you’re willing to pay is clear, have an untouchable work ethic, and stay away from those who don’t encourage your dreams and goals! Do those who you surround yourself with raise or lower your standards? Do they make money or excuses? Do they live with passion and excitement or pain and regret? Be wise with every decision you make this year, because it’s in the moments of decision where your future is designed or torn down. Much respect to you and the progress you’re making towards a world class life. The world needs you operating at your absolute best.

Great post! One of the best things I learned from Peter Voogd this year is to “Make decisions based on the person you want to be, not how you feel in the moment”. (Standards vs. Emotions)
This is a huge habit I need to work on and I have been challenged a lot lately to put this into practice. I’m definitely making much better decisions now and staying on the path to health, wealth and freedom:)

Pardon the bunny pic! I signed up for Vimeo today and that showed up as my avatar. I thought I got rid of it but I obviously not. Hopefully it’s a lucky bunny but I can’t see or rub it’s foot to know for sure.
